The Olympic Amsterdam

Peak Development has assisted Bouwinvest with the purchase and redevelopment of the former Citroën buildings at Stadionplein in Amsterdam.

Working closely with Bouwinvest, Peak Development is creating a multifunctional concept that is in keeping with the characteristic buildings and their surroundings. The overarching project has been given the name The Olympic Amsterdam. The two buildings comprise approx. 15,500 m² (Building 1962) and 10,000 m² (Building 1931) and are superbly located on either side of the entrance to the Olympic Stadium.

The North Building (Building 1962) is a listed building and has retained its industrial character of a car showroom and garage. Building 1962 has been fully renovated and extended with a new storey on the roof, according to a design by Rijboutt architects. The building has now been completed and companies such as Under Armour, Deloitte, NENI, Colliers and Bacardi have already moved in.

Just as the North Building, the South Building (Building 1931) has had a rich history. The modernist building on Stadionplein is being redeveloped as a multi-tenant building for high-end office, retail and catering functions. Half of the existing building was initially demolished to make space for an underground car park. Above this, new multifunctional spaces will be developed. Bierman Henket is responsible for the design.

Building 1931 will be delivered in the summer of 2019 and Pon Holding will move in with its 'Move' experience centre.
