Central Park, Utrecht

Right next to Utrecht Central Station, a magnificent 90-metre high office building will grace the skyline, with a fantastic park of no less than 500 m² at a height of 45 metres.

For this development, the joint venture between APF International and Angelo Gordon has collaborated with Peak Development, which will provide support for the construction, letting and sale. On 8 October 2018 Bouwinvest Office Fund signed the purchase agreement for the office building to be developed. Alongside this office building some 112 homes will be built, for which Amvest signed a purchase agreement in December 2018. An underground car park with around 540 parking spaces will be built under both buildings. Construction work began in January 2019.

Central Park will have 28,000 m² of office space and 500 m² of catering outlets on the ground floor. At 45 metres, where the glass walls will be set back from the main façade, an indoor garden and meeting area is being created for visitors and users of the building. This green oasis forms the lungs of the building. This USP has given its name to the building. Central Park will be completed in the second quarter of 2021, and the building will of course bear a BREEAM Excellent label.

The 112 homes will be built on Van Sijpesteijnkade, along a reinstated canal that enters Utrecht city centre. This canal is an extension of the Leidsche Rijn river that will link up with Catharijnesingel. The homes will be completed in the first quarter of 2022.
