At Boompjes 60-68 on the Maas river in Rotterdam, a former office building is being redeveloped as an apartment complex comprising two towers, 70 metres and 100 metres high respectively.

Following an exploratory study commissioned by the owner APF International / Ares Management, Peak Development has taken on the role of managing the development. Team V Architectuur has produced the architectural design based on the urban study by KCAP. The buildings will contain approx. 45,000 m² of gross floor area, with 342 apartments in the private rented sector, 834 square metres of commercial space and a car park with an innovative mobility concept. A high-quality design is being aimed for that complements the location, with open views across the various neighbourhoods of the city. Building work is expected to start in the summer of 2019, heralding the dawn of a new era for this magnificent location. The project is part of the Maritime District where around nine residential tower blocks will be developed in the coming years. It promises to be a dynamic district, with a mix of work and living space, close to Blaak railway station and Rotterdam city centre. Much work has been done in recent years to upgrade Boompjeskade, and the development at Boompjes 60-68 will be a valuable addition to this.
